One of the projects we worked on:
The Cedarwood Trust found itself in difficulties in reporting and updating SAGE and satisfying funders that funds were appropriately allocated and expended in line with the funding agreement.
New Chief Executive sought out financial expertise and through charitable connections, Chris Armstrong was approached to develop a bespoke financial management system of reporting and updating all of August 2018 to present date financial data.
Chris has gone above and beyond using his specialist knowledge of the charitable sector and how funds can be allocated across the departments. He identified a (64,000) deficit that had not been released to the appropriate departments and erased the deficit. This in effect has allowed Cedarwood to pass the financial scrutiny when applying for funds.
The task Chris faced was huge in entering into SAGE all the Charity's transactions and advising myself, the new Chief Executive on how SAGE can effectively produce the financial data needed for the board of trustees.
I am so impressed with Chris that I have recommended him to a further Charity, who I understand have begun discussions.
